Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral for Physical Therapy?

In the state of South Carolina, you may seek physical therapy care without a referral and be seen for treatment for 30 days. After the 30 days we will need a referral from your provider to continue care. We do enjoy collaborating with your providers to provide a comprehensive program and can discuss options and benefits of this during your session or discovery call.

How often will I need to be seen?

Your course of treatment will vary depending on condition, your situation, and your goals. This is typically determined after an examination and is decided by you and your physical therapist. It is rare that a patient is seen more than 1 time per week.

How long are the physical therapy sessions?

Physical therapy sessions are typically between 50-60 minutes long.

Am I a good candidate for Physical Therapy?

Please see the list of “diagnoses we treat.” It is not an exhaustive list and if your condition does not appear there, we can have a discovery call. We are happy to provide you with recommendations if we are unable to assist you!

Do you accept my insurance?

Inner Strength Physical Therapy is currently in network with Original Medicare Part B. For insurance companies that we are out of network with, payment is due at time of service and a superbill will be provided upon request. This superbill can be provided for you to submit to your insurance for attempts at reimbursement. It is your responsibility to know if your insurance will provide coverage for out of network services.
